Ingredients

  • 1 bunchfresh red spinach
  • 2whole red chilli broken into halves
  • 8-10garlic,chopped
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 2 tbspMustard oil
  • As Per Taste Salt
  • 1 green chilli

Steps

  1. 1

    Discard the hard part of the root, wash very well and chop them.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan then add the red chili and chopped garlic.
    Stir till you get the fried flavor of garlic.

  3. 3

    Add the chopped red spinach. Add salt and turmeric powder. Stir and mix well.

  4. 4

    Now cover and cook for a minute or two in a low flame.
    Open the lid and in medium flame give a good stir for 5 to minutes or until the saag is soft and well cooked.

  5. 5

    When it is done you will see that oil separates and all the moisture evaporates.

  6. 6

    Enjoy with hot steamed rice.
