Sambal Goreng Kreni / Beef Meatballs / Sambal Goreng Solo

This type of sambal goreng is usually present at wedding parties, served on a plate with rice, a little sambal goreng, shrimp crackers, pickles, and beef steak. I had a little leftover beef in the fridge, so I made sambal goreng to make it go further. 😁
Sambal Goreng Kreni / Beef Meatballs / Sambal Goreng Solo
This type of sambal goreng is usually present at wedding parties, served on a plate with rice, a little sambal goreng, shrimp crackers, pickles, and beef steak. I had a little leftover beef in the fridge, so I made sambal goreng to make it go further. 😁

Peel the potatoes, wash them thoroughly, dice, and fry until golden brown. Drain. Prepare the beef by slicing it into small pieces, then grind it. I just use a blender, and it works fine.

Mix the blended beef with 1 whole egg, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a little seasoning. Stir well.

Form into small balls, steam for 15 minutes, then set aside.

Prepare the spices and grind them until smooth.

Sauté the ground spices until fragrant, then add the fried potatoes and meatballs. Add the sliced curly red chilies, coconut milk, and about 3 cups of water (700ml). Add salt, MSG, and palm sugar. Cook over medium heat and stir continuously to prevent the coconut milk from breaking.

Sambal goreng kreni is ready to be served with warm rice, cucumber pickles, and shrimp crackers. 🤤
