Mooli or Radish Parathas are not at all unknown to us Indians. Everyone knows it and enjoys it especially in Winters when this Vegetable is available aplenty.
Parathas are made in many ways with many a delightful Vegetables. Some are stuffed and rolled whereas others are made adding everything to the dough itself directly. This is a stuffed one here.

Whatever might be the style of making them, they are the most loved by all. Mooli Parathas are one such beautiful one's. White and sweet Radishes are used to make these perfect lip-smacking Parathas that can be enjoyed at Breakfast or any other meal on any day.
Although they are good on their own, Curd, Pickle or Raita are the common accompaniments.

Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Steps

35-40 minutes
  1. 1

Knead a smooth and a soft dough for the Parathas using water as required. Cover and keep aside for a few minutes.

  2. 2

In the meantime, heat Oil and add Cumin Seeds. Followed by the rest of the ingredients mentioned including the grated Radish. Saute everything until dry and free of moisture. Do this on a medium high heat keeping an eye on it and constantly mixing with a ladle. You can add thinly sliced Onions too if desired.

  3. 3

Add all the spices according to one's own taste. Let it cool down a bit before rolling down the Parathas. Place a big tablespoon of the filling in the centre of the rolled disc. Bring the edges together to form a ball. Again roll this over to a desired size. Roast on a preheated griddle or a tawa. Smear with homemade Ghee on both the sides for a yummy and delicious Mooli or Radish Parathas. Cook on a low heat until crisp and nicely done.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
