Vrat ka dosa is made with barnyard millet/samak rice and sabudana. It is an easy and low calories food during fasting. Barnyard millet or Samak rice is allowed to consume during fasting days. This is a gluten-free, crispy, thin and healthy dosa which requires no fermentation.

Vrat ka dosa is made with barnyard millet/samak rice and sabudana. It is an easy and low calories food during fasting. Barnyard millet or Samak rice is allowed to consume during fasting days. This is a gluten-free, crispy, thin and healthy dosa which requires no fermentation.
Cooking Instructions

Wash and soak barnyard millet for at least 4-5 hours or preferably overnight.

After 4 hours drain the water and blend the barnyard millet in a mixer. Do not add water at this time. Grind it to get a smooth paste.
Take sabudana in a mixer grinder and blend to smooth powder. Mix both of them well. - 3
Pour the batter on a mixing bowl. Add rock salt to taste. Whisk the batter well with water to make a dosa like consistency.

Heat an iron griddle and pour a ladleful batter on the griddle. Spread it in a circular motion to make dosa. Smear it with some oil or ghee.

The Crispy and thin dosa are ready to be served with coriander chutney or coconut chutney.
