Ingredients

30 minutes
2 people
  • 2 cupsthin flattened rice
  • 1 cupgrated fresh coconut
  • 1onion finely chopped
  • 1tomato finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsplemon juice
  • 1 tbspsugar
  • as per tasteSalt
  • For tempering or tadka
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • Pinchasaefoitida
  • 2green chilies finely chopped
  • 5-6curry leaves
  • 1/4 cuppeanuts
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • as requiredCoriander for garnishing
  • as required Sev, masala boondi, onion and tomato for garnishing

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    In mixing bowl, take thin poha. Add coconut, onion, lemon juice, sugar and salt. Keep it for 20 to 30 minutes. Cover lid and keep heavy object on it.

    Make tempering. Heat oil in tadka pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, green chilies, asaefoitida, peanuts and turmeric powder. Pour on poha. Mix all. Garnish with coriander, onion, tomato, sev and masala boondi.
