Wash, remove shell and devein prawns

Marinate with turmeric powder, 1tsp chilli powder and salt, keep for 20min

Grind green chilli, coriander leaves, mint leaves as paste and keep

Wash and soak rice for 20 min

Heat oil, add whole spices, fry for 3min, add sliced onion and stir until golden brown

Now add tomato stir for 10min, add ground paste, 1tsp chilli powder, coriander powder, and marinated prawns

Fry until oil comes out, now add water 1: 1 and half, add salt, lemon juice, if you like add few saffron thread or colour, cover and let it boil

Drain and add rice keep the flame in medium, cover and simmer for 15min

Now keep the vessel on the dum plate, reduce flame and cook for another 15min

Open, add ghee, cover and put off flame

Open after 15 min, stir gently and serve hot with raitha
