Classic Quiche Lorraine

Steps

Make the pie crust:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
Make a well in the center and add the oil and hot water.
Mix until you have a smooth, even dough ball.

Roll out the dough and place it in a greased and floured pie dish. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork to prevent it from puffing up.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

Prepare the filling:
Spread the bacon pieces evenly over the crust.
In a bowl, whisk together the cream, milk, and eggs. Season with salt (not too much, as the bacon is already salty) and pepper.
Pour the mixture over the bacon.

Top with shredded Swiss cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F (180°C).

Let cool slightly before serving. Delicious warm or cold.
