Serves 2 servings
  • shrimp
  • red dates
  • goji berries
  • marinade
  • your preferred alcohol (such as rice wine or Shaoxing wine)
  • soy sauce
  • sugar
  • ginger
  • lemon
  • spices
  • Sichuan peppercorns
  • leavesbay
  • stickcinnamon

Steps

40 minutes
  1. 1

    Remove the veins from the shrimp. Rinse the red dates and goji berries.

  2. 2

    Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the shrimp, red dates, goji berries, and spices (such as Sichuan peppercorns, bay leaves, and cinnamon stick). Cook until the shrimp are done, then remove everything and place on a plate.

  3. 3

    Pour the marinade over the shrimp and let soak for at least 30 minutes, or overnight if desired.

  4. 4

    Remove the shrimp and arrange on a plate. Enjoy!
