Smash Burgers

I’m a thin burger kinda gal. I love a thin hot crusty patty on my burger. Salt and pepper is all you need. I use an 80/20 or an 85/15 ground beef. I also use a bacon press on my Pattie’s. If you don’t have a press, you can use a smaller iron skillet. Spray the bottom of skillet, press, and spatula with nonstick spray.

Steps
- 1
Divide the beef into 4. Roll 3 inch balls and heat up your skillet. I fry mine on med/high. I toss my meatball back and forth between my hands to pack it a little, like a snowball or a baseball. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- 2
Put your ball in the hot skillet and smash it flat with your spatula. Once flat, lay your press on top of it. Fry for 3 minutes per side then add cheese.
