Khichdi (Urad Dal Khichdi)

Firstly, mix rice and dal and wash properly. Soak 15-20 minutes.

Take a pressure cooker add ghee. Let it heat. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds and bay leaf. Let it crackle the cumin seeds. Then add soaked dal and rice to the pressure cooker and mix for few minutes.

Add salt and mix well. Add water and mix it. Cover the lid and pressure cook the khichdi for 3 whistles. Switch off the flame.

Open the lid. Khichdi is ready now. Take it out in a plate. Add ghee on the top.

Serve hot with curd, raita, pickle and papad and enjoy your meal
