Garlic Asparagus Stir-Fried Shrimp

I accidentally bought frozen shrimp and fresh asparagus at Costco, so I've been eating them almost every day.
To be honest, preparing asparagus is quite a hassle (you have to peel the thick skin one by one), but aside from that, the cooking steps are very simple!!

To be honest, preparing asparagus is quite a hassle (you have to peel the thick skin one by one), but aside from that, the cooking steps are very simple!!
Steps
- 1
Prepare a pot of hot water. Once the water is boiling, reduce to medium heat and add the asparagus. When the water boils again, remove the asparagus and set aside (to remove the raw taste).
- 2
In another pan, add oil to a cold pan and heat over medium heat. Once the oil is hot (test by dropping in a shrimp; it should sizzle), add the shrimp and cook until 70% done on both sides.
- 3
Move the shrimp to the edges of the pan, forming a circle (away from the center of the heat). Add the aromatic ingredients (minced garlic, green onion segments, chili rings) to the center of the pan and stir-fry until fragrant.
- 4
Mix the shrimp with the aromatic ingredients, then add the asparagus. Lightly sprinkle with Japanese pepper salt, add water, and stir-fry. Taste for seasoning, and before serving, add sesame oil, give it a final stir, and serve!
