Steps

Soak the dals in water in the afternoon. By night it's ready to grind. Wash and strain them.

In a grinder jar, take soaked dals. Add ginger, garlic, fresh green chilli, dry red chillies, cumin seeds, coriander powder, hing, salt and turmeric powder.
Add little water and grind coarsely. Next add water gradually and grind into a smooth batter. - 3
Transfer the batter into a vessel. Cover and keep it aside at least for 30 minutes to an hour.
Then add water to adjust consistency. The batter must not be very runny.
Now heat a conditioned tawa. - 4
Pour ladle full of batter and make circular pessurattu.
As the pessurattu dries brush oil. - 5
It gets nicely roasted and sides leaves the tawa. Remove the pessurattu using a sharp end spatula.
Fold it and serve!! - 6
You can serve it with upma..
Pessurattu - upma is an ideal combination.
Otherwise serve it with any chutney.
Do not forget to give raw onion with pessurattu, it tastes superb together..
