Lee's Grilled/Smoked Lemon-Garlic Chicken Wings

This is more of a method than a recipe. My objective is to have a smoked flavor, and cooking the chicken wings at a faster rate. This let's you have an excellent smoked flavor, rather than a over smoked bitter flavor.

This is more of a method than a recipe. My objective is to have a smoked flavor, and cooking the chicken wings at a faster rate. This let's you have an excellent smoked flavor, rather than a over smoked bitter flavor.
Steps
- 1
Marinade chicken wings as desired for 24 hours. I used my Lemon-Garlic marinade as posted in my recipes.
- 2
Set up smoker as desired. I like to smoke these at a higher heat. Anywhere between 275'-300'. Place wings skin side up, and cook 30 minutes. Then flip wings to skin side, and let cook for another 30 minutes. Add wood as necessary during the entire cooking process.

After an hour has passed, flip wings once again to skin side up.
Cook an additional 10-20 minutes until wings are done. I let mine cook until the internal temperature reaches around 175-180 degrees. You want them tender but not falling apart. Meat thermometer is your best friend!! - 4
Let wings rest for 10-15 minutes. Serve as desired. Enjoy
