Just back from a week away and had a few things in the fridge that needed using up including this delicious locally grown broccoli from Plowright Organic in Somerset.

Just back from a week away and had a few things in the fridge that needed using up including this delicious locally grown broccoli from Plowright Organic in Somerset.
Steps

Prepare the broccoli by separating the florets from the stems. You may want to reserve the stems for another dish, or add straight to the compost. Dice the onion.

Add a generous splash of sesame oil to a hot pan and add the onion and broccoli and stir fry for a few minutes, coating the vegetables in the oil.

Mix soy sauce with cold water and cornflour. Add to the pan, lower the heat and cover to allow the broccoli to steam slightly.

After 3-4 minutes check broccoli is cooked to your liking. Serve on a plate and scatter sesame seeds.
