Apple-filling Phyllo Pastry Parcels 🥐

Apple-filling Phyllo Pastry Parcels 🥐
Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 180C
- 2
Heat butter in a saucepan and Sauté the apples until tender. Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and cook frequently stirring for an additional 3–4 minutes until the mixture turns syrupy. Set mixture aside for later
- 3
Cut 32 squares of phyllo sheets, setting each 4 squares separately. Stack each 4 squares together by brushing the first sheet with butter then dusting with powdered sugar and cinnamon before stacking the next sheet
- 4
Line the bottom and sides of each muffin cup using one stack of squares, leaving some of the squares hanging over the edges of the muffin cups for a rustic finish
- 5
Spoon equal amounts of apple-filling into each muffin cup, folding excess phyllo pastry over the apples so they bake just slightly closed
- 6
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown
- 7
Serve & enjoy! Can be served with ice-cream or just dusted with powdered sugar
