Ingredients

  • 3-4tomatoes 🍅 wedges
  • 1 tbspginger-garlic paste 🧄
  • Salt to taste 🧂
  • 1 tbspgreen chillies paste
  • 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 gramflour
  • 2 tbsprice flour
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  • 1/2 tspcarom seeds
  • 1/2 tspChaat masala
  • 1 tsplemon juice 🍋
  • Water as required
  • 1/8 tspasafoetida
  • 1/8baking soda optional
  • 1/2 tspkashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️
  • 1/2 tspcoriander & cumin powder
  • 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  • 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  • Oil for deep frying

    In a bowl, add gram flour, rice flour, mix gently, add ginger- garlic paste 🧄,green chillies paste, cumin seeds, coriander & cumin powder, black pepper powder, kashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️, turmeric powder, salt 🧂, asafoetida, Chaat masala,lemon juice 🍋 and water slowly to make a thick batter.

    Heat oil in a wok, add baking soda, chopped coriander leaves in the mixture, mix well. Dip 🍅 tomato wedges in the batter, coat both sides and fry them until golden brown.

    Remove from oil and add on a paper towel to remove access oil. Serve hot with tomato ketchup 🍅, green chutney.
