Sieve the flour & baking powder into a clean bowl, add in salt, sugar & rub in the butter to a sandy texture, make a well in the center add cold water gradually mix into pastry.

Place on a floured table and gently smoothen it, return to a bowl and allow to rest for some minutes.

Break egg beat it & set aside, knead the dough some more,roll it out to achieve a 5mm thickness

Use a meat pie cutter to make a round dough on the rolled out dough remove the excess dough leaving behind the round cut, scoop some meat filling into the center rubb egg inside the edge to ensure it well sealed. place it on a oven try you spread baking sheet on until you exhausted all your dough

Set the tray on a preheated oven for 30 to 40 min. This Time will depends on the heating capacity of your oven.you can confirm that the pie is done when its start to browning.your pie is done

Meat pie fillings
Scrape your carrots, peel potatoes wash cut & drain & set aside,in a pot add oil, minced meat, diced onions, curry, thyme, stock cubes & all your spices and stir for 3mins - 7
Add cooked carrots, potatoes and top up with half cup of water, now make a running paste with flour and cold water, add the paste to your meat stir and cook for 5 min. allow to cool completely.
