Add black chana, onion, garlic, green chili, salt, and cumin seeds and grind to form a paste.

Now make small balls from the paste and fry the koftas on medium flame.

For the gravy, in a pan add oil, cumin seeds, carom seeds, asafetida, and tomato purée respectively. Then add garlic paste and all the remaining ingredients except cream. Cook for 3-5mts.

Now add the koftas and cook covered for 2-3mts.

Serve garnished with fresh cream. Accompany with chapati or paratha.
