Ingredients

  1. 1 kgflour
  2. 500 gbutter
  3. 1 tspsalt
  4. 1 tbspbaking powder
  5. 1 sachetpowdered milk
  6. 1/2 cupwater
  7. 1large egg
  8. 1 kgminced meat
  9. 1medium size onion/ spring onions
  10. Scotch bonnet
  11. 3stock cubes
  12. Curry powder
  13. Minced garlic and ginger

    In a clean large bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and powdered milk together

  2. 2

    Add the butter, then add water bit by bit and continue to mix until dough is formed. Knead d dough until it's well incorporated. Leave it for about 30 mins

  3. 3

    In a sauce pan, add vegetable oil, diced onions, I also add spring onions, minced garlic, ginger, and also scotch bonnet. Add in the minced meat and stir until well cooked. Then add your seasoning and spices dat's stock cubes, pinch of salt, curry powder and any other seasonings and spices. Add in little water to the meat and allowed it to cooked for 4 mins

    Cut a small portion of the dough, roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a flat surface. Scoop 2 table spoon of the sauce into the roll out dough and cover it. You can use fork to design the edges of the meat pie.

    Repeated the process for the remaining dough and set it up in an oven tray. Break 1 egg in a small bowl and whisk together and brush the egg wash over the all meat pies.

    Preheat the oven to about 200 degree celcius. Place the oven tray inside the oven and bake for lyk 15 mins till the meat pies colour turns to golden yellow.
