Carrot Halwa Recipe | How to make Carrot Halwa

Steps

Firstly, peel the skin of the carrot and grate it finely. Keep aside.

Heat ghee in a large kadai and fry cashews and almonds. Fry till golden brown. Keep aside.

In the same ghee, add grated carrot and fry well. Fry for 5 minutes or till it changes colour slightly.

Now, add milk and stir well. Boil for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.

Continue to boil till the carrots are well cooked and the milk reduces.

Once the milk thickens completely. Add in sugar to it.

Mix well and cook till the sugar dissolves and becomes thick.

Cook till the pudding becomes thick and ghee leaves the edges.

Now, switch off the flame and add khoya, cardamom powder and fried dry fruits.

Mix well and make sure everything is well combined.

Finally, enjoy gajar ka halwa or carrot halwa hot or cold.
