Peel the gourd & cut both sides a little. Heat oil in kadai & fry Pointed gourd well. Keep aside. Then add Poppy paste, green chilli paste, turmeric powder & salt. Fry it well.

Then add 1/2 cup water on it & boil it.

Then add fried Pointed gourd & sugar. Cover & cook it for 10 minutes in low flame. When gravy turns thick, it's done. Serve it with Steamed rice or Roti.
