Peel off outer skin of bottle gourd. Grate bottle gourd. Grate only outer part. Avoid middle part as it contains seeds. Heat pan. Add ghee. When ghee is heated, add grated bottle gourd. Saute for 10 minutes.

Add milk. Cook till milk reduces.

In small pan heat 1 tbsp ghee and roast all dry fruits.

Add khoya when milk reduced. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes.

Add sugar. After adding sugar, it becomes liquidy. Cook for another 8 to 10 minutes.

Add dry fruits. Keep some dry fruits for garnishing halwa.

Serve hot or cold. Enjoy the taste of halwa in festive meals or as a healthy dish in winter.
