Coffee Cake with Coffee Buttercream

I found a coffee cake recipe on another site and the exact same one with an easier execution here from our friend @Xrusa98. Of course, I made Xrusa's version with a small change and then made the buttercream from the other site.
Coffee Cake with Coffee Buttercream
I found a coffee cake recipe on another site and the exact same one with an easier execution here from our friend @Xrusa98. Of course, I made Xrusa's version with a small change and then made the buttercream from the other site.
Steps
- 1
Cake: In a bowl, sift the flour and baking powder, add the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and coffee, and beat with a mixer on high for a few minutes until you have a smooth mixture. Lightly butter a cake pan and pour the mixture into it. Bake for 30-35 minutes in a preheated oven at 340°F (170°C).
- 2
Buttercream: Place all the ingredients in a mixer and beat until very well combined.
- 3
Cut the cake in half. Optionally, drizzle the base with a little liqueur and then spread some buttercream. Place the other piece on top and spread it with buttercream as well. Decorate with chocolate sprinkles all around, covering the buttercream. If desired, garnish with whipped cream and coffee beans. Enjoy!
