Scrap,wash and cut lotus into thick slices.

Boil lotus till tender.

Slice the chillies.

Finely chop the coriander and onion.

Heat oil in a pan.

Add in lotus and fry well.

Add in onion,ginger,garlic,tomato paste and all the spices.

Cook covered for 1/2 an hour.

Add in tamarind,coriander and chillies.

Cook covered for 5 minutes more.

Serve hot.
