Orange Drizzle Cake

Easy and delicious orange loaf, with an orange syrup drizzle over-top. Wonderfully moist and full of orange flavour.

I used 2 loaf pans. 1 was a medium and other was small. They turned out perfect 👌👌

Steps

Pre heat your oven at 200 degrees C and line your loaf pan with a butter paper.

In a big mixing bowl and the sugar and eggs and beat with electric beater for about 1-2 mins till light and fluffy.

Add orange zest and cream and beat again. Then add the dry ingredients and mix well.

Now add melted cooled butter and mix well. Then transfer the batter to lined pans.

Tap the pans on the shelf to even out the batter or use a spatula or knife.

Bake for 55-60 mins at 200 degrees C. In the last 10 mins make the glaze by mixing all the ingredients and give a boil.

Check the cake and if it is done, remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 mins.

For the glaze, add the ingredients in a non stick saucepan and give a boil.

Prick the cake and pour warm glaze over it. Let it rest till the glaze is soaked.

Serve with tea and enjoy winters ❄️
