I wanted to challenge myself by making a recipe with jam, so I decided on making a simple ice cream recipe with the it. I used the mousse portion of my family's basic yogurt cake as a base, and introduced it as ice cream.Draining the yogurt for 30 minutes should be sufficient. Please drain the yogurt well by using a kitchen timer. Please adjust the amount of sugar to adjust the sweetness. If it's hard when working with it or when eating, then please wait a while until it softens to the point where you can easily stick a spoon into it. You don't have to work with it while it's frozen. As I was pregnant and really into ice cream, I came up with this ice cream recipe, using Caspian Sea yogurt which I kept developing. I continue to eat this even after already giving birth.To make the mixture smooth, take the container out of the freezer several times and stir while freezing This can prevent the mixture from getting rough and icy, but you don't have to if you find it too bothersome.If the mixture gets too hard, bring it to room temperature for a while. It's just too hot to cook/bake lately. All my family wants to eat is cold stuff. Using up my strawberries from the last harvest that have been frozen, I made this yummy and cold strawberry frozen yogurt. Recipe is from Vitamix.

I wanted to make a chilled dessert using drained yogurt. I had a lot of extra marmalade jam and thought it would taste good as frozen yogurt so I tried it. It turned out even better than expected.Once you drain the yogurt, all you have to do is mix it all together! The better you drain the water from the yogurt, the stronger the taste will be. I didn't need to mix it at all once I put it in the freezer. I'm lazy, so I just left it in the freezer all night... if you're worried about it, I think it would be fine to mix it periodically . I bought yogurt but couldn't finish the whole container by myself, so I made this. You could also make lassito use up the yogurt!You don't have to follow the recipe amounts exactly. It's fine if you've eaten some of the yogurt, or if you've used some of the heavy cream. The consistency and hardness of the ice cream is up to you. I like to keep it in the freezer for 3-4 hours. My daughter said a friend of hers (a boy) would be coming over, so I tried to be cool and made this frozen yogurt. After eating it the boy gave me a wonderful smile and told me "It was delicious, thank you!", so I got really excited and posted the recipe online.The important part is making the syrup.The water that's added helps it become icy and crunchy.Also, it's annoying, but remember to take the yogurt out and mix it while it's in the freezer.If you're going to add jam, then make sure to add less sugar.Same with fruit, adjust the yogurt to how sweet you want it to be.
