My Korean-inspired fried turkey
I noticed I had some leftover bread crumbs and gochujang so I made this yummy fried turkey using both of these. It's easy to make and the sauce has very few ingredients, It's super-duper tasty too!
Steps
- 1
Mix the flour with the msg, ground black pepper, cayenne pepper and the Chinese 5 spice.
- 2
Next, Take a slice of your turkey breast and cover completely with your flour, then place into the egg and then into your bread crumbs. Once fully coated in bread crumbs, place to the side and repeat with the rest of your turkey.
- 3
After they are all coated with the bread crumbs heat your olive oil in a pan and once very hot add in your turkey and cook for 2-3 minutes each side or until golden-brown.
- 4
Now, mince your garlic and finely chop your chilli.
- 5
In a separate pan begin by sautéing the garlic on high in a little olive oil for a minute and then add your chilli. After another minute, add in 1 TSP of gochujang.
- 6
Now Add your water shortly followed by a slurry of the corn starch and water as well as the rest of your gochujang. After it thickens remove from the heat and give it a blend.
- 7
Now all that's left to do is to toss your turkey in your sauce, serve and enjoy.
