Pakora or Pakoda or Bajji is all the same. It is a fried savory snack popularly prepared across South Asian countries. Bajji is a simple dish prepared by dipping the sliced vegetable in the batter and deep frying it. Pakodas is one snack which is synonymous with the advent of rainy season.

Make thin slices of potato. Keep it in water. Otherwise slices will turn blackish in colour.

In mixing bowl take besan. Add ajwain, red chili powder, haldi powder and salt. Add water little step by step. Make batter of medium consistency. Not so thick not so thin.

Heat oil in frying pan. Lastly add eating soda in besan batter.

Keep potato slices in batter and fry it. Till it turn golden brown in colour. Similarly fry Spinach leaves are fried more quickly. After frying pakodas, keep them on tissue paper. It will absorb excess oil.

Serve hot with pudina chutney or tomato ketchup. Serve with hot tea. Enjoy the rainy season 😊
