Meat and Potatoes over Rice

I froze some extra grilled hamburgers from another get together. This comes in handy from time to time.
The HP Sauce in this adds a new plain of flavours. If HP Sauce is new to you it's the official sauce of the British Empire that actually has the Royal Seal of Approval on it. HP stands for House of Parliament. Between HP Sauce and Heinz 57 steak sauce both are my favorite steak sauces.

Cooking Instructions

Cut the roast into manageable pieces and brown. Render the fat and set some aside for the rice.

Add the grill ground sirloin to the pot. Mine had to be broken up.

Slice the celery and potatoes, and add them to the pot.

Reserve a 1/3 cup of stock. Add in the stock, spices, onions and butter. Simmer till potatoes are fork tender.

Take the drippings and heat the rice in it. Add the butter. When nice and hot, add the stock into it and cover while it's cooking. Add cornstarch to the 1/3 cup of stock and mix well and add to the beef and potatoes making a gravy sauce.

Rice is close. Stir, allow it to boil till craters appear, and bubbles of liquid are seen in the rice. Cover, remove from heat, and let sit covered for 20 minutes undisturbed. Then fluff with a fork.

Serve the rice with beef and potatoes over the top. I hope you enjoy!!
