Okara Steamed Cake in the Microwave

I was craving an easy and quick steamed cake recipe that doesn't use pancake mix! That's how I came up with this recipe. I'm so glad I used okara... normal steamed cake doesn't fill me up at all!

My plastic container was made by Ziploc and 12.5 x 12.5 cm. No tips or hints, really!
Use water if you don't have milk!
It'll turn out nicely even if you only eyeball the ingredients. For 1 serving. Recipe by Kuromafu

  1. 3 tbspFresh okara
  2. 3 tbspCake flour
  3. 3 tbspMilk (or water)
  4. 1/3 tbspBaking powder
  5. 1/2 tbspVegetable oil
  6. 1 tbspSugar

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Add all ingredients into a microwave-safe plastic container and mix.

  2. 2

Cover lightly and microwave for 2.5 minutes at 500 W.

  3. 3

So chewy and delicious! Bon appetit!

  4. 4

*Here I used 3 tablespoons of water instead of milk, and didn't use vegetable oil. *It doesn't look very different, but tastes rather dry.
