Prepare the ingredients. Chop the pineapple and tomato into small pieces.

Chop the onion. Place the chopped ingredients in a bowl.

Remove the seeds from the jalapeño or serrano pepper, finely chop it, and add to the bowl. Slice the cilantro and add to the salsa.

Mix well and squeeze in the lime juice. Season with salt. Stir well and let chill for at least 15 minutes before serving.
