Steps

Place a cooker on medium flame add 4 tbsp mustard oil & heat well, add kathal & fried well until golden. When turns golden transfer it to a plate.

After 1 tbsp mustard oil in cooker & heat well. When oil hot turns off flame & let it slight cool down add bay leaf, green cardamom, black cardamom, cloves, peppercorns, cumin seeds saute it well, add ginger paste, garlic paste, saute everything well on low flame.

Add chopped onion, 1 dry red chilli & roast well until the onion turns little pink. Add chopped tomato, salt & roast everything well.

In a bowl add coriander powder, turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, cumin powder add little water, mix well & make thin paste. After gravy released oil add prepared masala mix well.

Add kasuri methi, mix well, add fried kathal mix well cook for 2 minutes. Add water as required & mix well.

Now close the lid & cook on medium flame until a whistle, turn off flame.

Kathal Sabji is ready to serve, serve hot.
