Flower-Shaped Sandwich Rolls

This is a variation of the popular "Whole Wheat Buns: Homemade Mos Burger Style Burger" -- in the shape of a wreath that you can rip apart.
I changed the recipe a bit and made it egg-free. Fragrant bread goes well with everything.
The cute flower shape is great for parties.

Since this is a very light and fluffy bread, I've lined the mold with some paper half-heartedly to prevent the bread from sticking even if the mold is greased too - but you can omit this if you like.
When cutting into the bread in Step 9, be careful not to cut all the way through. For one 18 cm [7.1 in] bundt cake mold. Recipe by Youtank

Ingredients

  1. 160 gramsBread (strong) flour
  2. 40 gramsWhole wheat flour
  3. 20 gramsSugar
  4. 3 gramsSalt
  5. 20 gramsButter
  6. 140 gramsMilk
  7. 3 gramsDry yeast

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Use the Dough setting on your bread machine, and complete the first rising.

  2. 2

Punch down the dough lightly, and divide into 8 pieces. Leave to rest for about 15 minutes.

  3. 3

Grease the mold (I've also lined it on the bottom with paper to make sure the bread doesn't stick).

  4. 4

Roll the dough into neat balls, and put into the mold.

  5. 5

Let rise a 2nd time. The photo shows the dough after it's risen.

  6. 6

Optionally brush with some beaten egg (not listed in the ingredients).

  7. 7

Bake in a pre-heated 190 to 200°C oven. Take it out once it's baked, and drop down onto a hard surface from a little distance to 'shock' it. Please adjust the baking time and temperature depending on your oven.

  8. 8

Then, just get your favorite sandwich fillings together.

  9. 9

Cut the bread halfway through, and spread with butter.

  10. 10

Put in lots of filling - and a gorgeous wreath of sandwich is finished.

  11. 11

You can tear off however much you like. They're so fun to each! Try them for a child's birthday party.

  12. 12

Please try ai-chan's"Our Golden Ratio: Chicken Teriyaki with Mayonnaise". It goes so well with this bread.
