Steps

Add 5 cups of water in grains and pulse mix, set it aside.

Heat half cup of oil, fry one onion finely sliced until golden brown

Add ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and shan special haleem masala. Stir fry for few seconds.

Add meat and bones, 7 cups of water. Cover the pot and cook until meat is tender. It would take 2 hours if you are not using pressure cooker

Seperate meat from gravy and discard the bones.

Grind the mixture in a blender to shred the meat.

In the gravy add soaked grains and pulse mix and meat.

Stir and add 2 cups of water. Cook on medium flame for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Add garam masala powder

Heat remaining oil. Fry the onions until golden brown. Then pour over haleem.

Cover and cook on low flame for 15 minutes.

Garnish it with julienne ginger, mint and lemon juice.

NOTE:
You can use chicken instead of beef, the quantity of water will be less. Cooking time will also get reduced.
