2 ingredients and that's all. It's the most simplest of a recipe that one can imagine. And I didn't add anything else just to use it up for a number of recipes that can be made and relished with it.
It can be mixed with grated Jaggery for a sweet escapade. It can be mixed with Peanuts, Nuts, Makhana and Roasted Gram and made into a Mixture or Chiwda or Chudwa which is a great option for a Tea-time Snack or a Rainy day perfect accompaniment at home as a munchie. There are just amazing ideas that one can use with this one recipe done in an oven right in the comfort of our homes. That's the beauty of it.
Puffed Rice or Murmura can be easily roasted in an oven and stored. Whenever the need arises, it's absolutely easy to whip up lots of goodies with it. A refreshing one to enjoy in the evening on a rainy day with a hot cup of Coffee or Chai.
I usually do this and store it in order to keep it fresh for a long time and handy as well. Because you never know, when does your little one's make a demand for it.
So sit back and relax. Let the oven do it for you. You will love it's crunch.

Steps
- 1
Mix puffed rice and oil. Spread that on a baking tray. But before doing this, preheat your oven without fail.
- 2
Bake in a preheated oven on 200° for about 25-30 minutes only. That would be all. As puffed rice or murmura is thin, it doesn't get much time in roasting. Keep turning and tossing in between to ensure that nothing gets burnt.
- 3
Serve this as it is at tea-time or at anytime of the day. It tastes yum. And if desired, can also toss in some oven roasted curry leaves, peanuts etc as well. Enjoy!
