It Won't Burn! Soy Sauce and Mayonnaise Chicken Teriyaki

cookpad.japan

Do you have a problem with the meat burning when you make teriyaki? Even with all that burning, it is often under-cooked. I discovered by intuition to add mayonnaise when I was too tired to cook, and it turned out delicious and didn't burn. Bravo!

You can just eyeball the measurements for soy sauce, mayonnaise, and sugar. Sometimes it gets sweet, or the soy sauce taste might get strong, but both are still delicious.
The normal Teriyaki sauce (without mayonnaise) burns easily, but this one won't since you use mayonnaise. For 4 servings. Recipe by Pukuttopukumaru

Steps

  1. 1

Cut chicken into bite size pieces. Put them in a bowl. Rub in the ○ ingredients and leave it for a while. Leave for about an hour to marinate well.

  2. 2

In a frying pan, cook chicken with the seasoning. You don't need to add vegetable oil since the mayonnaise already has oil.

  3. 3

When the chicken changes color, put on the lid.

  4. 4

Addendum: It gets very delicious if you cook over high heat in the end after you take off the lid.

  5. 5

Enjoy it as a side dish or put it on rice with the sauce to make a rice bowl.
