Steps

Take kavuni rice, wash three times and soak for two hours.

Collect dates and remove seeds, keep ready.

Cut Almonds, cashew nuts and pistas into small pieces.

Take a mixer grinder add soaked kavuni rice,dates and milk, grind into smooth paste.

Keep a kadai in medium heat add two teaspoon ghee and nuts pieces fry for two seconds to turn light golden colour.

Now add the kavuni rice and dates paste mix well. Keep low flame.

Rice and dates paste along with nuts will start bubbling. Keep on mixing, middle,middle add ghee, it will leave the edges. Then add cardamom powder mix well and remove from fire. Payasam is ready now.

Transfer the kavuni rice payasam to serving bowl. Garnish with some nuts.
