Clean and sieve the Ragi and soak in water for 7 to 8 hours or overnight. Then drain its water on strainer. Once water goes away, then take a cotton cloth. Spread the Ragi on it. Then tie knot of it or cover in wicker basket. The Sprouts will start coming. Then dry it little bit. Once it dries make flour of it. Ragi flour is available in packets.

Add salt, asafoetida, carrom seeds, cumin seeds, white sesame seeds in a pan and fry lightly for 1 minute. Add water and keep it boiling. Add oil and mix well.

Reduce the heat after boiling. Then add ragi flour to it and stir. Cover and steam it for 3 to 4 minutes.

Nutritious Ragi Ukad is ready. Serve hot. Add raw oil on it while serving.
