Ingredients

1-2 hrs
6 servings
  • Hamour/ Grouper fish cut in 3 cm thick slices
  • Salt
  • Fish masala
  • Lemon juice
  • Black lemon, dried
  • Turmeric powder
  • Cloves, few
  • Cardamom
  • leafBay
  • Cinnamon
  • Oil
  • Butter ghee
  • Onion
  • 2-3whole black lemon
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Fresh coriander
  • Fresh Dill
  • Zafron

Steps

1-2 hrs
  1. 1

    Coat the fish with lemon juice, salt, Cumin, Fish masala and dried black lemon.

  2. 2

    Fry the fish in oil for about 10 mins and set a side

  3. 3

    In a pot, add oil and ghee. Then add cloves, cardamom, Bay Leaves & Cinnamon sticks.

  4. 4

    Add onion (cut in small pieces) until done

  5. 5

    Add whole black lemons, Garlic & Ginger

  6. 6

    Add Coriander & Dill

    Add fish & any left off slices

    Add boiled water (1.5 of quantity of rice to be used)

  9. 9

    Add rice

  10. 10

    Once cooked add spray of Zafron

I cook as a hobby and love cooking various and special cuisines. I love the planning aspect when I decide to cook, from getting the ingredients up to the way to cook, which I do very carefully. I don’t rely on precise quantity for each ingredient and therefore I make my own best guess . This is why I don’t specify quantities in my recipes and hope that you like them .
