Ingredients

30 minutes
4-6 servings
  1. 2 cansblack beans
  2. 1/2 cup+/- cooked bacon or chicharrones cut up
  3. 2 TbspSofrito
  4. 1 tspminced garlic
  5. 1 packetSaźon seasoning with culantro and achiote
  6. 1/4 cupOlives sliced
  7. Cilantro
  8. Sour Cream or Crema

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Sautee Sofrito and bacon/chicharrones in 2 Tbsp olive oil 3-5 minutes until fragrant without burning.

  2. 2

    Towards end of Sautee, add Garlic and Saźon packet using caution to not burn.

  3. 3

    Add black beans and olives and adjust heat to medium allowing juice to thicken approx. 15-20 minutes.

  4. 4

    Serve garnished with cilantro and a dollop of sour cream or crema.
