  • 1 packetgolden dried apricots
  • 1 cupsugar or leftover sugar syrup
  • As much mixed dried fruit as desired
  • 1 pinchnutmeg powder
  • 2 tablespoonsghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 cupwater

    Boil the golden dried apricots in 1 cup water until they are soft. Let them cool, then blend them with sugar or sugar syrup to make a paste. If needed, add 1-2 tablespoons of water to adjust the consistency.

    Heat ghee in a pan, add the dried fruits, and sauté them lightly. You can also add 1 tablespoon shredded coconut if you like.

    Add the apricot paste to the ghee and cook, stirring, until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan or the ghee separates. Add some more dried fruits if you wish, then mix in a little nutmeg powder.

    Khubani Ka Meetha is now ready to serve. Enjoy this luxurious dessert from Hyderabad! It is often served with cream or ice cream.
