Palestinian Mshat (Cauliflower fritters) recipe
Palestinian cauliflower fritters, also known as "qarnabeet" in Arabic, are a popular and delicious dish. Here's a recipe to make them:
Cooking Instructions
- 1
1. Steam or boil the cauliflower florets until they are tender but not mushy. Drain and set aside to cool.
- 2
In a large bowl add the chopped green onion, parsley, all-purpose flour, salt, seasoned salt, all seasoning and cauliflower water.
- 3
Add the mashed cauliflower to the mixture and mix well until all the ingredients are combined and the mixture holds together.
- 4
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium heat.
- 5
Take a small portion of the cauliflower mixture and shape it into a small patty or ball.I use an Ice cream scoop. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- 6
Carefully place the fritters into the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- 7
Serve the Palestinian cauliflower fritters hot as an appetizer or as part of a meal. They can be enjoyed with tahini sauce, yogurt dip, or a side of salad.

Kenyan Potatoes Fritters/Bhajiya Kenyan Potatoes Fritters/Bhajiya
If I shared Pakistani food last week, I would like to share the food, which makes us flashback the memories while living in Kenya this time. Kenya is another beautiful country. The people and the beautiful places. Beautiful Masai Mara with the wildlife animals is another exotic for this country. As usual, if the original recipe is using coriander leaves, I replaced it with dill leaves. Potatoes bhajiya is one of the street food in Kenya. It has crunchy outside but soft inside (potato). It is the perfect homemade snack for winter.Expand recipe by @Simple_Woman23Nov 25th, 2020My daughter and I don't know what to do, so we make this evening snacks. As a child, I used to enjoy fresh pumpkin blossom fritters during the monsoon season. I have tried to recreate the recipe using squash blossom. The fritters go well as a snack with a cup of chai or as an accompaniment with khichdi. I used the leftover batter to make some cilantro fritters(the green ones). Priyanka Mitra -
