Steps

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Chop the basil. Wash the tomatoes.

Heat the oil and try the onion for 3 minutes over a medium heat, till softened. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

Add the tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Crush and add the 1/2 stock cube, tinned tomatoes, a pinch of salt, black pepper and 1/4 tsp chilli flakes.

Simmer for 10 minutes, turn off the heat and stir in the basil.

Serve over pasta, topped with parmesan.
