Though Jasmine Rice is more moist, a bit sticky, soft and plump. Whereas Basmati is more firm and dry. The grains are also long but little shorter than the Basmati.

Steps
- 1
Wash the rice thoroughly under running water and rinse. Allow it to drain. Set aside. For one cup of rice, you will need 1 1/4 cups of water. This is the basic requirement for making jasmine rice at home.
- 2
Meanwhile bring water to a rolling boil in a cooking pot on a high heat at first. As soon as it starts boiling vigorously, add the rice. Also add the salt. Mix well and allow it to simmer on a low heat with a lid on.
- 3
It gets done so very quickly without much difficulty. Fluff it up carefully and serve it garnished with either coriander, parsley or mint leaves.
- 4
Enjoy it with any favourite Thai Curry alongside for a delicious meal on any given day. Yum!
