Blood Bread
Started out as a Halloween treat for my kids, but now it's a dessert I make often.
Steps
- 1
Seperate bread into two half loafs and butter each liberally and preheat oven to 350.
- 2
Liquify jam and cherries in blender (with juice for thin, without for a thicker paste)
- 3
Spread vanilla frosting on bread.
- 4
Spread or pour the red "blood" on bread over frosting. I make my blood thin and pour till it runs over the sides that way it looks like it's "bleeding" lol.
- 5
Lightly sprinkle sharp cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese on top of bread.
- 6
Bake in oven till cheese is melted then remove, let cool, cut into slices, and enjoy. (My kids like to use any left over "blood" as something to dip their pieces into).
