For fresh edamame: Rinse the edamame, sprinkle generously with salt, and grill over low heat until they are slightly charred.

For frozen edamame (type 1): Thaw the edamame in cold water, rinse, sprinkle generously with salt, and grill over medium heat until slightly charred.

For frozen edamame (type 2, boil-to-cook type): Rinse the edamame, sprinkle generously with salt, and grill over low heat until slightly charred.
