Turkish Pie with Chicken Filling

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Follow the dough recipe and knead it well, then prepare the filling.
- 2
In a non-stick pan, add the oil and onions and sauté them, then add the chicken and stir well until it changes color. Add the mushrooms, salt, pepper, and curry powder, and let it cook on low heat until done.
- 3
In a baking pan, grease the bottom with olive oil. Take a portion of the dough, roll it out on a floured surface into a circle, and place it in the bottom of the pan. Add all the filling with the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- 4
Roll out another portion of the dough on a floured surface, place it over the filling, seal the edges well, and brush the top with the beaten egg mixture. Sprinkle sesame seeds and nigella seeds, or you can use mozzarella cheese on top.
- 5
Let it sit while preheating the oven, then bake at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes or until done.
- 6
The ten-minute dough recipe makes 2 Turkish pies. If you're making one pie, use half the dough recipe.
- 7
Serve with ketchup. Enjoy!

Turkey and Dumplings Pot Pie Turkey and Dumplings Pot Pie
One year I thought I'd try something different with the leftover Thanksgiving turkey. So after reading various pot pie recipes and consulting with my grandmother, I took all the ingredients I liked, added some of my own touches and created this recipe over 10 years ago. I make this the Sunday after every Thanksgiving and its in high demand. I also save some of the leftover turkey to make turkey street tacos too. That's on Tuesdays :) Brandy T. -
Spinach Pie - Börek (Turkish Food) Spinach Pie - Börek (Turkish Food)
"Börek" is the generic name for Turkish pies. There's various kinds of these pies, but this is the most popular. In Turkey, they use flatbread, but in Japan, I make do with spring roll wrappers. The baking dish should be about the size of the spring roll wrappers, but to keep the egg mixture from boiling over, it's best to use a rather tall dish.Other than the spinach and cheese, you can also stuff this with fillings such as white cheese & parsley or ground meat & potato.
