Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 earsfresh corn (must be raw)
  2. 5 tablespoonsall-purpose flour (about 40 grams)
  3. 5 tablespoonswater (about 75 ml)
  4. Salt, to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Remove the husks from the corn and use your hands to separate the kernels. It’s a bit of work, but using your hands instead of a knife gives the best results.

  2. 2

    Add the flour to the corn and mix well, then add the water and mix again.

  3. 3

    Heat oil to 320°F (160°C).

  4. 4

    Wet your hands with water, gather the mixture into portions of your desired size, and gently place them into the hot oil.

  5. 5

    Fry until golden and they float to the surface. Sprinkle with salt or dip lightly in salt before eating.
