Vietnamese Braised Swordfish in Clay Pot

Heat the oil in a pot and sauté the shallots until fragrant.

Marinate the swordfish with fish sauce, black pepper, sugar, oyster sauce, sautéed shallots, and cooking oil. Let it sit for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

After marinating, place the fish in the pot over medium heat. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, then flip the fish. Add the chili peppers and scallion, and continue cooking until the sauce thickens. Adjust the seasoning to taste. This dish is delicious served with steamed white rice and cucumber slices.
