Cook bacon to preference, set aside.

Season hamburger to taste with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Form 4 1/2lb 3/4 inch thick patties. Top each patti with 1/2 tablespoon of butter. Cook to preference.

Toast hamburger buns with butter and garlic powder.

Cut sweet onion into four steak rounds. Rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Blacken on grill.

Reheat bacon on grill just before finishing the burgers.

Layer cream cheese on bottom of the burger buns. Next add 3 strips of bacon to each, followed by a patti, and topped with blackened sweet onion. Finish with a thin layer of cream cheese on the garlic bread bun. Serve hot.
